This month we will be having a lecture by Max Krause from Phoenix. This is a special meeting and time hosted by Midwest Magic. Lecture starts at 7PM, be early for good seating. All PAID Wizards Club members get in free. Others attending will pay $20 to Midwest Magic. Max will be sharing several of his personal effects and the thinking and inspiration behind them. There will be something for everyone from the novice to the seasoned professional. In this lecture, Max will be sharing and demonstrating effects from his personal shows such as: The Bill Lie Detector, Unholey, Predic-Torn, Supreme serial Killer, B.T.I.L., In Tune, M.U.D., The Necklace, mentalists Dream Box, A Poker Story, Magication, and One Two Punch!

Last month was a lecture by Tomas Medina. All who attended had a great time.

Next week is the huge Knights of Sleights Magic Flea Market at the Diplomat West Banquet Hall on May 9 at Rt. 83 and North Ave. in Elmhurst. Keith opens the Doors at 7PM Admission is $8. (See http://www.iyqent.com/kosfm.html for more information.)

The 74^th Annual Houdini Convention will be over Labor Day Weekend August 31, September 1, and 2, 2012.

The Convention Head quarters are at the Olympia Resort and Conference Center. Address is 1350 Royale Mile Road in Oconomowoc Wisconsin. Room rates are $89.00 per night Toll Free number is 1-800-558-9573. Shows will be held in the Oconomowoc Performing Arts Center. Registration fee is as follows: Members and Spouse are $115.00 each until June 30, 2012 Juniors under age 16 are $90.00. Non Members and spouse are $135.00 until June 30, 2012. July 1, 2012 the rates increase to Members and Spouse $125.00, Juniors increase to $95.00. Non Members and Spouse increase to $145.00 each.

They have three Lectures, two public shows, close-up show, stage and close-up contests, and a dealer show, Ladies activities , Saturday night party and a Sunday Banquet.
